Wir feiern, um Gewichtsdiskriminierung in Schutt&Asche zu tanzen! ThiccPhatUTOPIAS – la Résistance! Bringt multi-dimensionale Fat-Power, queer-femininistisches Tanzen, Trans-Joy und gay-ing ins WUK.
Wir bemühen uns, eine möglichst zugängliche Veranstaltung umzusetzen, weben unsere Learnings der ersten Edition ein und gestalten einen rassismuskritischen Raum! Im Besonderen Menschen aus marginalisierten Communities sind herzlich eingeladen zum Feiern!

About
BORA Murmure (they/them)
is a transdisciplinary artist, world-builder and shapeshifter. They dream and craft multisensory, immersive worlds where the human, the animal and the technological meet — bodies that need no resemblance to ally, spiralled beings always in metamorphosis. In this universe, world-building is a form of resistance, and imagination a way to extend reality.
Denise Palmieri (she/her)
originally from Brazil and based in Vienna, is a performance artist and curator working at the intersections of experience, consciousness, body, and voice. Her practice examines ritualistic and political dimensions of performance and challenges dominant forms of knowledge production. Her work opens spaces for personal and collective transformation.
Mzamo Nondlwana (they/them)
is a queer, non-binary performing artist originally from Johannesburg, South Africa and currently based in Vienna, Austria. Their work focuses on marginalized bodies and seeks to subvert colonial fantasies. In 2006, they began their formal dance training at Moving Into Dance Mophatong (South Africa). In 2007, they worked with Arrep Theatre for Life. In 2009, they moved to Salzburg, where they completed their formal dance education at SEAD, specializing in contemporary dance and choreography.

Dshamilja Gosteli (they/she)
is an educational scientist (focus: educational psychology). They work as a curator of social spaces, a lecturer for in-service and future teachers and is a retired composer and musician. By assembling multi-faced interdisciplinary projects, she works as a first-generation, self-funded PhD candidate on their dissertation at the Department of Education at the University of Vienna. In their work as FupaMagic, their artistic alter ego, she intertwines pleasures of olfactory artistic spaces for perception, empowering experience, education, dance, museal realms, audiovisual art, and performance with glittery celebrations of all bodies. She works in Vienna (AT), Bern, Zurich and Basel (CH), Bielefeld and Berlin (DE), as an educator and facilitator, researcher, artist and musician. By deconstructing heteronormativity, racism and ableism, they create meaningful pieces of sustainable QUEER resistance for Black joy and fat-liberation in Europe.

Birth Tales: Rooms for resistance in trans-species resistance and becoming
BORA Murmure
On a moonlight tide, I will collect my body and bathe in it like a birth.
Birth Tales is an intimate, poetic performance — a living world woven from immersive sound and visuals, where hybrid creatures breathe, morph and become. Through moving images, spatialised soundscapes and whispered tales, Bora opens a shimmering ecosystem you can step inside: a watery, dreamlike realm of spiralled beings, in constant metamorphosis.
At its heart lies "chosen birth" — the act of giving birth to oneself, of finding one's essence beyond the categories the world assigns. This is what Bora calls a trans-species approach: a kinship that runs through the human, the animal, technology and nature — bodies that need no resemblance to ally, that come together in their own singularity. Bodies that are an arc between worlds, belonging to nothing but themselves.
Like whales using echolocation, can we see with our voices — emit sounds that let us orient ourselves in the dark, sense and listen before we see? A tender, enveloping ritual where world-building becomes resistance, and imagination a form of magic. Here, the spiral says: carry all your forms with you, for you are your own spiral, a world in motion.
Heavy on Joy

A participatory performance
Heavy on Joy is a participatory performance that invites audiences to move, laugh, jiggle, and reflect together. Through playful “fitness” exercises, personal anecdotes, and collective interaction, the performance explores fatness, body image, and the ways we learn to look at ourselves and each other. Rather than striving for the "perfect" body, it celebrates movement as pleasure, presence, and a reminder that everybody is already worthy of taking up space.
