A collective art project in the Kurdish transnation
The starting point for the project ZOZAN are comprehensive multimedia documentations of Kurdish everyday cultures by Werner Finke and Mehmet Emir, created between 1964 and 2024 in Turkey. They reflect traditional ways of life and socio-political transformations.
Exhibition opening with the presence of Halgurd Ahmend, Songül Boyraz, DARO, Ezgi Erol, Thomas Freiler, Lisl Ponger, Niga Salam, Rojda Tuğrul. Muic and buffet.
Mehmet Emir presents his book “Fotografien aus Zımeq. Mein kurdisches Dorf in Dersim, 1983–2019”, with musical accompaniment by Hakan Gürses and Sakina Teyna.
To mark the Kurdish Language Day on 15 May, there will be a lecture by Agnes Grond and readings by renowned Kurdish authors, including Hüseyin A. Şimşek and Aljeen Hasan.
