KUNSTHALLE EXNERGASSE

The starting point for the project ZOZAN are comprehensive multimedia documentations of Kurdish everyday cultures by Werner Finke and Mehmet Emir, created between 1964 and 2024 in Turkey. They reflect traditional ways of life and socio-political transformations.

Kurdish fairy tales read on Kurmancî, Soranî, Zaza and German with Ali Mazoodji, Eren Kilic, Ordikhan Jalil and Gülçin Kilic.

Mehmet Emir presents his book “Fotografien aus Zımeq. Mein kurdisches Dorf in Dersim, 1983–2019”, with musical accompaniment by Hakan Gürses and Sakina Teyna.

To mark the Kurdish Language Day on 15 May, there will be a lecture by Dr Agnes Grond and readings by renowned Kurdish authors, including Hüseyin A. Şimşek and Aljeen Hasan.
