Workshop:On Being Familiar

Elia Nurvista and Marta Fernández Calvo will propose a collective exercise to reimagine food while reflecting on labour and care, based on the activation of a series of recipes and objects. Using recipes handed down by generations of women that were cooked in the casas de comidas during the Spanish dictatorship and particular kitchen utensils for preparing certain recipes in Indonesia, we will explore in this open invitation how food and kitchen can be tools for collective power.
