Der Titel verweist auf die Kunst der Pantomime: einen imaginären Punkt im Raum fixieren – und dadurch etwas Unsichtbares real und gegenwärtig werden lassen.
In diesem Solo lädt der Künstler das Publikum ein, sich mit der Pause auseinanderzusetzen – mit Spannung, mit Schwebezustand – durch eine zarte und verspielte Erfahrung, in der das Abwesende Gestalt annimmt.
Was passiert, wenn plötzlich alles um uns herum stehen bleibt?
Wenn wir stehenbleiben?
Wenn wir bewusst in diesem seltsamen Schwebezustand zwischen zwei Atemzügen verweilen?
Im Alltag ist Innehalten selten. Unrentabel sogar.
Und doch – wenn wir uns erlauben innezuhalten, oder zum Innehalten gebracht werden – was dann? Was kommt zum Stillstand?
Was verbirgt sich in einer Pause?
Was lebt im leeren Raum?

The title comes from a mime technique: fixing an imaginary point in space, making something invisible become real and present.
In this solo performance, the artist invites the audience to engage with the pause — with suspense, suspension — through a delicate and playful experience where absence takes shape.
What happens when, all of a sudden, everything around us stops?
When we stop?
If we remain, deliberately, in that strange limbo between one breath and the next?
In daily life, stopping is rare. Unprofitable, even.
And yet, when we do stop — or are stopped — what then? What stops even?
What hides within a pause?
What lives in an empty space?

about
Alberto Cissello (he/him) is a dance artist passionate about creating shared movement experiences through choreography, pedagogy, and artistic research. In 2019, he co-founded BACKPULVER, a platform supported by the City of Vienna that fosters peer-to-peer exchange of artistic knowledge within the local dance and performance community. Since then, Alberto has presented choreographic works both in Austria and abroad, under his own name and in collaboration with Martina De Dominicis (debocs.com). As a performer, he has collaborated with choreographers including Helene Weinzierl, Daphna Horenczyk, and Eva-Maria Schaller. His practice extends to teaching, leading workshops at institutions such as TQW, MUK University, and Play Practice Artistic Residency in Bangalore. In 2023, Alberto completed an MA in Movement Research at Anton Bruckner University Linz, focusing on the notion of “Listening”. He is a recipient of the Startstipendium from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service, and Sport.
Sebastian Bechinger (he/him) is an artist, educator, and dramaturg from the UK, currently based in Vienna, Austria. His artistic background is rooted in various practices of somatic, perceptual and ecological enquiry, including Body-Mind Centering and Mary Overlie's Six Viewpoints. As a dramaturg he has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, contributing to the creation of contemporary performances in theatre, dance and circus. Notable collaborations include Mads Floor Andersen, Lucia Rosenfeld, Imani Rameses, Verena Schneider and ArianeOechner. In 2021, along with Imani Rameses and Lucia Rosenfeld, Sebastian co-foundedPlexus e.V., a cultural association based in Vienna that promotes artistic and scientific research into neuroaesthetics. He holds a BA Hons in Choreography with CommunityPractices from Dartington College of Arts, is a certified systemic coach and is currently enrolled in psychotherapeutic studies.
Daphna Horenczyk (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, accompanying creative process, teacher and mother. She grew up in Tel Aviv and currently lives in Vienna, Austria. In her artistic work, she deals with the gap between experience and representation and uses irony as a critical tool for social phenomena. Her latest works Diorama: stories and Passage premiered in Vienna with the support of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Federal Chancellery. In addition, she performed in the works of choreographers such as Anna Konjetzky, Ceren Oran, Amanda Piña, and Ariel Cohen. Daphna is a graduate of the Sadna at Kibbutz Gaaton (IL) and SEAD (AT).
Luigi Guerrieri (he/him) is a performance artist with a background in cultural and social anthropology, living and working in Vienna. His work explores the intersection of movement, improvisation, voice, and storytelling, in connection with both scientific and physical research. In his projects, he questions deeply ingrained cultural constructs—such as the dictatorship of well-being in FLOWERS—obsessively plays with the repetition of common insults like "Son of a bitch" in DEINE MUTTER, or deconstructs idioms like "jumping for joy" in BOUNCING JUMPING. He sporadically writes a blog, takes care of his children, occasionally creates absurd short video performances on TikTok and Instagram, and works as a cook.
Joe Albrecht (he/him)
Meine Lichtarbeit bewegt sich zwischen Konzertbühne und Theater. Erste Erfahrungen sammelte ich ab 2002 im Theaterverein Wiener Metropol. Seitdem durfte ich mit vielen österreichischen Tanz und Theatergruppen wie Sebastiano Sing, Saint Genet, DasKunst den Hungry Sharks sowie Bands wie Cari Cari und Steaming Satellites arbeiten – unterwegs auf nationalen und internationalen Bühnen.
Laura Brechmann (she/her)
Born 1990 in Hagen, Germany. Works as a production manager in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. She is a teacher of the Alexander Technique with a work focus in Vienna & Prague. She accompanies theatre and dance projects from application to accounting. 2023/24 she received the BMWKMS scholarship for cultural management abroad. In April 2024, Laura became a mother and in May 2024, together with Judith Franke, she founded the association ‘P.A.P.A. - abolishing patriarchy through performative actions’.Laura is based in Vienna.
