"Pictures exemplify quite nicely the Exhibition as an Event from afar – Version Vienna":
In his presentation Achim Lengerer refers back to his 2006 exhibition "Blows into the microphone: Is it all right? Voice off mike: It’s all right. Pause." in the Kunsthalle Exnergasse. Following the Kölnischer Kunstverein and the Transmission Gallery in Glasgow, Vienna will be the third station of the exhibition and performance series Pictures exemplify... where Lengerer looks back at the settings of his past exhibitions, revoking and transforming their original shape and format in such a way to stage himself as an observer of his own work.

Achim Lengerer works with linguistic phenomena in his performances and installations. In recent years he founded various collaborative projects such as the labelfuerproduktion (2005), the artist-run space freitagsküche in Frankfurt (2004) that later on moved to Berlin, and voiceoverhead in collaboration with his artist colleague Dani Gal. Since 2009 he runs the traveling showroom and publishing house Scriptings, which is currently found in Amsterdam. Lengerer lives in Amsterdam and Paris.

Tanja Widmann is an artist, author and independent curator. She lives in Vienna.

tisch im raum is a recurring exhibition format designed as a laboratory, a space for dialogue and a dinner table landscape, self-organizing and intervening in the exhibition-free intermediate spaces of Kunsthalle Exnergasse. Guests who investigate diverse phenomena of the art field present an artistic position that is relevant in their work and enter into a dialogue with another invited guest. The evening closes together with the audience at a dinner table in the exhibition space.
