An on-going project at the Kunsthalle Exnergasse, CrossSections is designed as an interdisciplinary platform for explorations into artistic research, dialogue, and production. The project employs an open format to reflect upon "process" with the intent to articulate critical reactions to the political, economic, and social disturbances facing us today. Curated by Basak Senova, CrossSections aims to create a collective interdisciplinary research platform and network, to propose a curatorial model that prioritizes and presents the “process” of artistic research as well as the production, and to share and elaborate diverse critical reactions and collective strategies in the context of art. Over the course of three years (2017–2019), with the participation of 19 artists, diverse scholars and cultural workers, various meetings, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and talks will be held in four cities:  Vienna, Helsinki, Tallinn, and Stockholm.

CrossSections_Intensities is the second exhibition of the project. It captures and displays the current processes in the projects developed by the participating artists with experimental approaches. Along with the works-in-progress, the research tracks and the work methodologies of these artists can be traced in the exhibition. Similar to the first edition (CrossSections_Potentials), CrossSections_Intensities is organised as a ten-day exhibition, accompanied with talks and presentations. The spatial design of the exhibition and the structures of the events interact with the architectural aspects of Kunsthalle Exnergasse.

An exhibition presenting transparadiso's [Barbara Holub (DE/AT)/Paul Rajakovics (AT)] latest project "Times of Dilemma" will be on display in the front window of the CrossSections HUB from April 24 to June 7, 2018. The following exhibition "Clogged" by Benji Boyadgian will open on June 9, 2018.
