Siniša Labrović: Künstlergespräch und Performance

The major themes in the work of Siniša Labrović are the position of man in these times of the domination of economy and politics, the relationship of the private and the public and the influence of the media on what used to be called the real life. In dealing with these issues, some humour is unavoidable. 
After the presentation of a modest selection of works from his rich oeuvre, he will give the performance entitled “Heinz-Christian Strache: the Name”. 

Siniša Labrović was born in 1965 in Sinj, Croatia. 
In 2009 he presented the work (book) „Lisansustu Egitim/Postagraduate Education“at the 11th Istanbul Biennial. In 2012 he represented Croatia at 13th Venice Architecture Biennale, titled Common Ground, together with Pula Group, Hrvoslava Brkušić, Igor Bezinović and Boris Cvjetanović. 

Labrovic is Artist in Residence at KEX Studio in July 2014, invited in collaboration with MMSU, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka, Croatia.
