"Willkommen zuhause im global village?" - Christina Treuther
A contribution to the artistic strategies of homeliness by Christina Treuther

The exhibition drinnen ist's anders ('inside it's different') examines the constructions of body and space in the media. How do social and personal phantasms correlate with each other? What is the relationship between media images and apparently individual ideas? Which connections between the social level, the pictorial level and the viewing level should be taken into account?
The focal point of the exhibition is an 'outside' which acts as a surface for representing and projecting the wishes and desires of the 'inside', which in turn is itself partially determined by an 'outside'.
Projections will be shown in the form of slide-show installations, video work and photographs.
